Here is what my brand new play, The Wrong Miss Halliday, is about:
When millionaire Roger Marshall’s younger brother, Nick, announces his engagement to Jan Halliday, a woman he barely knows, Roger hires bumbling private investigator, Tommy Tompkins, to prove that Jan is a gold digger. Through a misunderstanding, Roger and Tommy believe that Jan’s older sister, Joan, is the woman they’re out to expose. To make matters more complicated, interior decorator Joan believes that Tommy is an eccentric millionaire who wants to have his home redecorated, while Roger is his butler. Though Roger and Joan initially clash with one another, they eventually find themselves falling in love, but what will happen when they each learn of the other’s true identity? With its 1950’s New York City setting, screwball comedy, mistaken identities, and plenty of romance, The Wrong Miss Halliday is the right way to go!
