“You really want me to fight for your sister?” -Roger
“Yes, I do.” -Jan
“But why? Didn’t you hear me say I was trying to spy on you?” -Roger
“Yes, I heard that, and believe me, it’s going to take me a long time before I can forget that one. However, I’m not asking you to do this for my sake, or even for your sake. I’m asking you to fight for her for Joan herself’s sake. Now, what are you going to do about it?” -Jan
“Nothing.” -Roger
“Nothing? What do you mean nothing? Didn’t you hear a word I just said?” -Jan
“Yes, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m not good enough for your sister. She deserves better than a first-rate heel like me.” -Roger
“But..but…” -Jan
“Come along, darling. Let’s go back to our table.” -Nick
“I’m not through with your brother yet.” -Jan
“Jan, it seems to me that we wouldn’t have all this trouble if certain people hadn’t tried to mess with things that weren’t their business, so let’s leave Roger alone.” -Nick
“Thank you, Nick.” -Roger
“After all, if my brother chooses to be a fool, that’s his problem, not ours.” -Nick
